Della Welcher Obituary
DELLA BEA WELCHER, 84, passed away at 6:48 AM on Saturday morning, April 2, 2016 at her home in Murrieta. Born May 22, 1931 in Valley View, Texas, Della had lived in the Temecula area since 2000. Her family came to California from Texas fleeing the Dust Bowl. Della married Edgar Welcher on June 6, 1948 in Las Vegas. Della and Ed traveled the country and the world together, visiting five continents and countless landmarks along the way. Della's favorite hobby in her later years was crocheting - she could usually be found in her favorite recliner with a skein of yarn and a crochet hook in her hands. Mrs. Welcher was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar. She is survived by her sisters Mary Goodfellow and Bonnie Bratcher, both of Porterville; daughters Susan Helander, of San Marcos; Janice Spangenberg, of Murrieta; and Patricia Robertson, of Escondido; her grandchildren Deann Collins, of Powder Springs, Ga.; Sam Robertson and Matt Robertson, of Escondido; Bryan Spangenberg and Scott Spangenberg, of Murrieta; and great-grandchild: Sterling Collins, of Powder Springs, Ga.
