Dolores (Garcia) Alaniz Obituary
DOLORES ALANIZ (GARCIA), age 74, of San Jacinto, CA, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. Born on August 3, 1941 in McNary, AZ; she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Ruth Garcia. She was a devoted mother of 2 daughters, Maria-Dolores "Mia" Flanders and Christine R. Stubblefield (husband, Dale Stubblefield), and 1 son, Ernesto J. Alaniz (wife, Anna Alaniz). She was an adoring and loving grandmother "Nana" to a "six-pack" of grandsons ranging in ages from 11 to 24 years, Miles W.N. Flanders, Sean-Patrick D.E. Flanders, Ernie B. Alaniz, Daniel M.S. Alaniz, Gavin N. Stubblefield, and Dylan A. Stubblefield; and great-granddaughter, Aurora-June D.B. Flanders. She was preceded in death by one brother (Wilfred Garcia), and is survived by five remaining siblings: brothers, Raul Garcia and Gerard Garcia; and sisters, Ranza Garcia, Connie Garcia, and Jeanette Stewart. A woman of devout faith, Dolores was a longtime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in San Jacinto. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at McWane Family Funeral Home, 350 N. San Jacinto Street, Hemet, CA 92543. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 630 South Santa Fe Avenue, San Jacinto, CA 92583. Graveside services will immediately follow the Mass at Menifee Valley Cemetery, 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City, CA 92586.
