One of his proudest memories was receiving a Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from Pacific Coast University. Don was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1961. Of course, anyone who knew him also knew he would never turn down a good glass of Cab. He loved watching Angel's baseball and was a season ticket holder for over 30 years. He also was an avid fan of The Lakers basketball team. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie (Dodd) Daniels. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn; daughters Marilyn Daniels Johnson (Jim), grandchildren Jennifer Fleming (Cort), and Palmer Johnson; Jennifer Daniels Edwards (Jim Wright) and grandchildren Megan, Bree, Mackenzie and Logan Edwards; his step-daughters, Susan Dagley, grandson Daniel Arganda and Allison Sylvester-Panagakos (Jim).
