DOROTHY ANN SILVA Dorothy Ann Silva (nee Arnold) of Newport Beach, California died peacefully at Hoag Memorial Hospital on January 18, 2013 at the age of 87. Dorothy was born in Fort Thomas, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Louis E. and Dorothy Menninger Arnold. She attended St. Thomas Elementary School in Fort Thomas, Summit Country Day in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the University of Cincinnati. In March of 1946 Dorothy married Chester Arthur Silva and for forty-one years, devoted her life to him and their children while living in Long Beach, Indiana, Riverside, California and Newport Beach, California. Her active life focused on her six children's activities (swimming, scouting and PTA), support of her sorority, Theta Phi Alpha, and service with the Altar Society and the St. Maria Goretti Guild at St. Francis de Sales Church in Riverside. During her time in Newport Beach she volunteered at Hoag Memorial Hospital and was a long-time member of the Ebell Club of Newport Beach. Dorothy Ann's most admirable quality was her loving and sincere interest in the care, health and comfort of others.
