Edith Ann Mummert Obituary
EDITH ANN MUMMERT On June 1, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. Edith Ann heard the calling of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to come home. Ann was surrounded by her family as she gently passed. Ann entered this world on June 22, 1938 in Evanston, Indiana to Frederick Earl and Ruth Beatrice Whitten, the first of their 3 children and their only daughter; she was a loving big sister to Michael and Lee. Ann arrived in California in 1963, with her 2 daughters. Ann worked for Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for 34 years working her way up to Senior Accounting Technician before retiring in 2002, spending the rest of her days enjoying her husband, Tom, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her family, Ann was active in various church and service groups throughout her community. As her younger children grew, Ann and Tom were active in Kids Camp, Friday Night at the Movies, the Jr. High Ministry and Sunday school at their church, and the Children's Ministry. Ann was a Mentor Mom for Mom2Mom, served in God's Kitchen and coordinated Project Angel Tree for more than a decade. Ann was also member of the Women's Improvement Club. Ann's love of music and singing led her to join the choir at her church where she sang Soprano, sometimes standing next to her daughters. Ann passed her love of music onto her children and many of them joined her in the choir. The love was then passed on to her grandchildren by way of the piano. Ann also spent 15 years as a member of The Riverside Master Chorale. Ann was preceded in death by her father Earl, her mother Ruth, and an infant son Kris Alan Fullmer. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Thomas Mummert; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Greg Prickett, their children David Prickett, Daniel and Jessica Prickett, Stacy and John Money; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Alan Glau, their children Joshua and Aryn Langley and Alain Glau; son, Randal Fullmer, his children Cori Fullmer and Courtney Fullmer; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Richard Huerta, their son Dustin Huerta; daughter Dawn Miller, her children Michael E. Miller and Kayli Miller; daughter Deborah Mummert; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Carrie Mummert, their children Halle Mummert, Dawson Mummert, Luke Mummert and Hope Mummert. Ann leaves behind great-grandchildren, Victoria Lindsay Motter; David's daughters, Aidan Stone and Ava Susan Langley; Joshua's children, Peyton Jon-Gregory, Reagan Cecilia- Lynne and Paisley Poppy-Ann Prickett; Daniel's children, Julianne Ruth and Reese Lydia Money; Stacy's children and Lyric Jameson Fullmer; Cori's son. Ann leaves two important women in her life, Jennifer Motter, Victoria's mother and Mallory Cato, Lyric's mother. Ann also leaves behind her brothers Michael and wife Rose Whitten, their son Steven Gu and family, and Lee with daughter Amanda Whitten, sister-in-law Carolyn Waters with her daughter Misty Sopicki, brothers-in-law and their families, Tracy and Yolanda Mummert and Tim Mummert. Ann also leaves a very special brother and sister-in-law, Tyler and Doreen Mummert, their children, Mark Reed, Chris Mummert, Tamara Mummert, Katie Mummert and Tyler and Doreen's granddaughter, Abbey Mummert. Ann's love of her family and love of the Lord were the two most important things in her life. Viewing: Friday, June 5 from 5-7pm at Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona. CA. Services for Ann will be at Crossroads Christian Church in Corona on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment to be private at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
