Edna Lucille Collins Obituary
EDNA LUCILLE COLLINS was born on August 8, 1920 in Dunn, North Carolina to parents Edward and Frankie Holden. She passed away on December 30, 2016 in Sacramento, California. She is survived by her son Michael Collins; granddaughter Danielle E. Collins; and sister Bernice. She was preceded in death by her husband Willmer Collins. Edna enjoyed children, taught school, Sunday school, was a Cub Scouts Leader, and volunteered at the Sun City Hospital for servicing patients and families. She was a private person and enjoyed spending time traveling with her husband in her retirement years. She had a great sense of humor and had no problem in anyone knowing her opinion if they asked. She always put God first and was very conservative in her beliefs. Her friends were always important to her and she would always enjoy her company with them. Edna had a passion for her pets and always had cats, dogs, and sometimes parakeets. She was always thrifty but would give you the shoes off her feet if you needed them. She will be missed by her family and remembered for her kindness and giving always. Her immeasurable support for her loved ones never wavered, no matter how heavy the load was you could count on her support. She believed in goodness and kindness and never once asked for anything in return. Her love will be missed and never forgotten. From her granddaughter and her son, we love you Mom. Take care of Dad and we will see you again. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, 1/20 at 11:00 am at Evans Brown Sun City Chapel.
