Edward Hatmaker Obituary
EDWARD HATMAKER Age 87, passed away on August 28, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Clairfield, Tennessee on June 28, 1929, Edward was the oldest of five brothers. In 1951 he joined the United States Air Force and started what would become a 26 year career in the military. It was during the early part of this career, while attending training in San Antonio, Texas, that he would meet the love of his life, Mary Louise Bauerlein. Ed and Mary lived in many different locations raising their two sons, from the island of Guam in the South Pacific to Bangor, Maine but have made their home in Moreno Valley, CA since the 1970's. Edward's last assignment in the Air Force with the 89th Airlift Wing would take him traveling throughout the world with senior government and military officials from Washington D.C. After retiring from the military, he continued his involvement with aviation becoming an instructor with Flying Tigers Airline. He was a great husband and father who will be missed by all who knew him. Edward was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 54 years Mary Louise, and parents Edward Sr. and Lola Mae Hatmaker of Eagan Tennessee. He is survived by his two sons Scott Edward and Paul Randall, his brothers Carl, Bill, Wayne and Jim, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Viewing and Services will be held at Acheson and Graham Garden of Prayer in Riverside on September 16, 2016 starting at 9:00 AM followed by a burial service held at Riverside National Cemetery at 11:30 AM. A celebration of life will be held at Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside at 12:30 PM.
