Edward Holland Horowitz Obituary
EDWARD HOLLAND HOROWITZ passed away one week ago, on March 9, 2016. He was born on September 30, 1951 to Mac and Florence Horowitz. His father was a project manager and engineer, which took Edward to over a dozen different countries that he got to explore and learn about. His three favorite countries to live in were India and Jamaica. His mother was a chef who ran a catering company before opening a restaurant in The Brockton Arcade. This helped shape Edward's love for cooking which was something he did every day around dinner time. Along with food, justice was something that he full heartedly believed in. This led him to take classes at Citrus Bell and RCC, passing the bar with flying colours and becoming an attorney in 1984. Edward graduated and became a criminal defense attorney where he tried to help as many people as possible navigate the legal system. This is also the year he met his now deceased wife Kristina Colwell. He practiced law for 20 plus years before finally retiring in 2002. Since then he had spent his days around the house fixing things here and there and making extravagant meals. He was predeceased by his mother Florence Horowitz; brother Kalman Horowitz; daughter Natasha Horowitz, and wife Kristina Horowitz. He is survived by his father Mac Horowitz; his daughters Simone Lindner and Rachel Horowitz. As well as his siblings Kathy Passer and Andrew Horowitz, he is survived by his nieces Katie Macias and Golda Horowitz. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 1pm at Temple Beth El, which is located at 2675 Central Ave., Riverside California 92506. If you decide to bring food to the service, make sure there is no meat and cheese in the same dish.
