Elizabeth Ann Harvey Evans Obituary
ELIZABETH ANN HARVEY EVANS December 9, 1934 - September 28, 2013 Elizabeth, 78, passed quietly on Saturday, September 28th into the loving arms of God. Elizabeth was born in Washington, D.C. to Thurlow Weed Harvey of Fairmount, Indiana and Frances Katherine Cureton of Louisville, Kentucky. She grew up in Washington attended Mount Vernon Seminary for girls. She later married William Winston Evans of Chattanooga, Tennessee on June 12, 1959 (divorced) and gave birth to a daughter in Montgomery, Alabama. Elizabeth was a talented hand crafter and enjoyed knitting for the National Knitting Guild. The children were always delighted with their beautiful sweaters and baby blankets. Elizabeth was a lover of all creatures great and small and loved her wild birds. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father T.W. Harvey; mother Frances K. Cureton, and half brother T. Weed Harvey, Jr. She is survived by her sister Nancy J. Spencer of Fullerton, California and her daughter Lee Evans Landin (late - Lt. Donald W. Landin) of Meridian, Idaho, a niece and several nephews. Lee would like to acknowledge Mary Jo Placka and Laurie Taylor of Perris, California for their years of support and concern for Elizabeth. Elizabeth was lovingly cared for by Margaret Lamar of Senior Focus and her staff. Elizabeth was remembered at a chapel ceremony at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park & Mortuary.
