Elizabeth Louise Jackson Obituary
ELIZABETH LOUISE JACKSON was born on March 4, 1932 in Riverside, CA. She was the eldest of five siblings. Her loving parents were: Mr. Pearl and Mrs. Webb Barnes, both of whom were born in Paris, Texas. Liz, as she was affectionately known, has two living siblings: brother Webb Barnes and sister Della Thompson, both of Riverside, CA. Liz's three children, Valerie, who predeceased her mother in September-2015, Rex and Reginald, all remain in the Inland Empire with their families along with her three granddaughters. Liz worked at the Press Enterprise newspaper for thirty five years prior to retiring in 1996. She also worked at March Air Force Base and was a volunteer nurse at Riverside Community Hospital along with her community work with the Elite's Social Club for twenty years. She received scholarships and educational awards while having a passion for art, drawing and painting in her pre and post retirement years in various art classes in Riverside and Redlands. She enjoyed traveling to places such as Alaska and Costa Rica along with many states in our Union. Liz had friends from all walks of life and never met a stranger she didn't know or like. She could talk to anyone and make you feel as though she had known you your entire life. Liz's life touched many, many other's. You will remain in our prayers forever Mom. You were an extremely special mother - certainly ONE OF A KIND. We Love You. Services will be at St. James Church, 4690 Victoria Ave., Riverside, CA 92506 on Dec. 5, 2016 at 11am.
