ELIZABETH MARIE DOPKO Elizabeth passed away on December 2, 2012 in Boise, Idaho. She was born to Elizabeth and Raymond Jones on June 23, 1926 in Gadsden, Alabama. Marie's mother passed away the same day and she was raised by her loving maternal grandmother, Ada. Marie moved to Florida where she worked as a telephone operator and soon met her future husband, Bernard Dopko. He was a pilot and Pearl Harbor survivor. After their marriage they were transferred to Kessler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. While there they had a son, Michael, and a daughter, Helen. The next transfer was to Kansas, where their daughter, Susan was born. The final transfer was to March Air Force Base in Riverside, CA. in 1952. In the early years in Riverside they had two sons, Ronald and Matthew Dopko. Marie was a talented and gifted artist and seamstress. She used her gifts in Girl and Boy Scouts, PTA, and as a volunteer with teachers and other youth groups. Marie had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Major Bernard M. Dopko and grandson Michael Dopko. Marie is survived by her 5 loving children, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren (her treasures) A graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Friday Feb. 22, at 2 PM.
