1918 - 2015 Obituary Condolences
EMILY LINDA (FALSO) CHAMBERS Obituary
EMILY LINDA CHAMBERS (FALSO) passed away May 8, 2015 in Riverside, CA at the age of 96 years. Emily was born Emerlinda Falso on May 15, 1918 and her name was later changed to Emily Linda Falso. She was born in Syracuse, New York, to Domencio Pasquale Falso and Chiara Falso (Maccio) and was the seventh of nine children. Her siblings were Virginio Falso, Antonia Falso, Olindo Falso, Rosaria Falso, Alvino Falso, Mary Falso, Clara Falso and Rosaria Falso II. Her parents immigrated to America on May 25, 1913. They sailed from Naples, Italy to Ellis Island, NY on a ship named the America. Prior to her family's departure from Italy their last known place of residence was Ventosa, Latina, Italy. After arriving in America and processed by Immigration at Ellis Island, NY her family moved to Syracuse, New York, where Emily spent her early years growing up. Several years later, after her marriage to Patrick A. Chambers Sr., she moved with her family to Southern California in the 1950's where she resided with her husband and family most of her adult life. Emily was a devoted member of the Catholic faith her entire life and followed the example of her savior Jesus Christ in the conduct of her wonderful loving dedication to family and friends. As a mother of 10 children, one who died due to a mishap shortly after birth, her family was blessed by her loving and protective presence as they encountered and dealt with their individual challenges in life. Her enduring positive frame of mind and faith in the Lord were the hallmarks of her character. Her voice was beautiful and she loved to sing even during the darkest of times. She never allowed despair to conquer her faith and positive attitude. Her countless acts of kindness and service to her family and others will never be forgotten and have earned her a special place in Heaven with the Lord and her departed family members. During her early adult years Emily worked diligently to feed, clothe, and provide loving care for her nine surviving children. This included seeking employment outside the home to help her husband provide for the financial needs of their large family. She worked many years for Safeway stores as a meat wrapper and was always recognized as a superior worker by her employers. Preceding Emily in death were her parents and all of her siblings, her loving husband of 62 years, Patrick Anthony Chambers, and infant son, Thomas Michael Chambers. Surviving Emily are sons, Patrick A. Chambers and wife Donna, Dominick Chambers and wife Maria, John Chambers and wife Krista, Joseph Chambers and wife Maryon, James Chambers and wife Kathy, and Michael Chambers. Surviving daughters are Anne Stephenson and husband Walt, Emily Woznichak and husband Rick, and Helen Chamness and husband Scott, and many loving grandchildren. Family and friends may come to the viewing Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. at Akes Family's "Chapel of the Chimes", 9695 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, CA.
