Eugene E. Beal Obituary
EUGENE E. BEAL On the evening of Monday, Dec. 29th, 2013, at his home in Sage near Hemet, CA., hours short of his 86th birthday, wrapped in the arms of his son Stephen and his brother Leonard with Shirley his wife sitting nearby, Eugene left behind his struggle with lung disease and entered into a new life with his Lord. On Dec. 30th, 1927, Watonga, OK was graced with the birth of Eugene Everett Beal, the second of five boys born to loving parents Frederick and Mildred Beal. A strong character and enduring confidence enabled Gene to enjoy life and make friends in all that he did be it splicing film in a theater with his brother Leonard as a kid, running engines for the Merchant Marines as a teen, building a house with his dad, working on B-36's and B-52's in the Airforce for four years at Fairchild Airforce Base, camping and enhancing his boats and recreational equipment to his liking, or improving property to build an enjoyable retirement life for he and his wife Shirley. On July 1, 1950, shortly after meeting earlier that year, Gene married Shirley June Oates, the love of his life for the next 63 years. Together they raised their sons Stephen E. and Michael A., both of whom continue to admire their dad's legacy. With a love for electronics Eugene worked on defense equipment for 30 years for Hughes Aircraft Company. His enthusiasm for camping, boating, and travel allowed he and Shirley to add to a long list of lifelong friends met while seeking new adventures. Eugene is survived by Shirley, his wife of 63 years, his sons Stephen E. Beal, and Michael A. Beal, four grandchildren Jonathan, Margaret, Daniel, and Rebecca, two of his four brothers, Leonard and Harold Beal, and nieces and nephews. His older brother Clifford, and youngest brother Kenneth passed before him. Services for Eugene are scheduled as follows: Hemet Valley Mortuary, 403 N. San Jacinto St., Hemet, CA. Viewing with family - Monday 1/6/14, 2PM-5PM, Tuesday 1/7/14 11AM-12 Noon. Funeral Service - Tuesday 1/7/14, 12 Noon.
