Eveline Pauline (Bjorgan) Hartmertz Obituary
EVELIN PAULINE (BJORGAN) HARTZMETZ Evelin taught her final lesson on February 26, 2013 (always a math problem 2/26/13). She was born in San Francisco, Sept. 1, 1932 to Ovide and Hildor Bjorgan. She and her husband Kurt lived in Moreno Valley for 27 years and were members of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. She loved teaching, which she did until she retired at 69 years old. She loved working with and around children, including her own four children, who survive her: Karl (Nancy), Karyl, Karen (Lee), Kristen (Bruce). She continued her love of children in her grandchildren: Katie, Jennifer, Adam, Richie, Kayla, Kallie, Kameron, Kolton and Emily. She is also survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Kurt, with whom she traveled to some unusual places: Eagle, Alaska, logging farms in Washington, a wolf rescue sanctuary in Oregon and a spacecraft tracking facility in Hawaii. She is also survived by her sister Elaine Duxbury, many cousins, nieces and nephews, wonderful friends and various strays. Services will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at 10am at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 11650 Perris Blvd., Moreno Valley with private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church or your in honor of Evelin.
