FRANK HUGHES WINSHIP November 25, 1929- November 6, 2012 Frank Hughes Winship passed away Tuesday morning surrounded by the love of friends and family. Mr. Winship was born in Arlington, California to Frank Edwin Winship and Mary Hughes Winship. He attended Poly High in Riverside and received a bachelor's degree in history at Willamette University. He served with honor as an officer in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Winship was a business man and ran the Hesperia location of Winship Stake and Lath. He was a dear friend, beloved father, and grandfather. He loved to cook, tend his garden and enjoyed his cats. All who were blessed to know him appreciated his intelligence, courage, kindness and loyalty. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Lewis and her husband, Dick and 2 daughters, Laura and Anna; his daughter, Lisa Winship Hankin, her husband, Rock and two children Kathyrine and Rocky and his ex- wife and friend, Kathyrine Winship Chappuis and her husband, Chap. Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Friday, November 16th at 1 pm.
