Fred Monroe Muhleman Jr. Obituary
FRED MONROE MUHLEMAN, JR., age 97, of Riverside, CA, entered into heaven on December 28, 2016. He was born on April 1, 1919 in Foosland, IL. Fred was a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Crossroads Christian Camping Group. He enjoyed watching sports, playing softball, traveling, and spending time with his family. Fred served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945, and for a number of years was a radio broadcaster. After that, he worked as Distribution Manager in a local electrical distribution company before retiring after 35 years. Fred is survived by his sister Hope Hobson of Birch Run, MI; daughters Faith (Mike) Miller of Redondo Beach, Jean (Dave) Alexander of San Diego, Cindy (Wayne) Anderson of Flushing, MI, Dawn (Peter) Zopp of Eden, NY, Phyllis and Mark Coate of Riverside, Debbie Alvers of Riverside, Jan (Nick) Rose of Menifee, and was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Norma Muhleman and his son, Fred 0. Muhleman. He has 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Chapel services will be on Thursday, January 12 at 10 a.m. at Acheson and Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary in Riverside, CA. Viewing will be at 9 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Wesley United Methodist Church on Arlington Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church Trustees in memory of Fred M. Muhleman, Jr.
