Frederick Franklin Mumford Obituary
Frederick was born on May 22, 1933 in Drumright, Oklahoma. His mother, Jewel Virginia Baker, and father, Frank Mumford JR. welcomed their son at 7:30 AM.
Young Frederick had a love for Talequah, Oklahoma. He was fascinated with Native Indian History. He was born in Creek County. However, Frederick's knowledge was vast covering all Tribes.
On March 4, 1952 Frederick enlisted in the Armed Forces of the United States.
In Frederick's teen years his love for music soared. In fact, he played drums and even made a recording with Tommy Dorsey. His love for music accompanied his love for dance.
Frederick and Lillie mastered the Jitter Bug. The two actually won numerous dance contests. The two enjoyed this part of their lives. Their faces beamed each time one or both of them spoke of it.
Frederick is survived by daughter, Marsha Hofer, sons, Frederick JR and Robert. Preceded by Frederick's death was his son, Dennis and a few short days ago, "His gal of 63 years, Lillie."
What a precious testament to true love. One could not be without the other. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Frederick will be 3:00pm Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church 1895 Weston Rd. Perris, CA 92570 EVANS BROWN MORTUARY (951) 679-1114
