Gary Tedeschi Obituary
GARY TEDESCHI Born in 1947 in Illinois. Passed away 8/8/2013 in Loma Linda, CA fighting cancer. Beloved spouse, father, grandfather, brother, friend, teacher. Gary came to Sunny-mead in 1952, attended the old Moreno Elementary School, Alessandro Middle School, and Poly High School. He left Sunnymead to serve in the U.S. Army as a Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant based in Pleiku, Vietnam. After Vietnam he was accepted into the U.S. Navy as an officer but declined and moved to Riverside, returned to Moreno Valley in 1983. Gary earned his AA degree in Business at RCC and was a very successful Sales Rep. for Moore Business Forms and Prentice Hall Publishing Company. He received a BA Degree in Cultural Anthropology, his MA Degree in Education and his California Administrative Credential from Cal State University, San Bernardino; he earned his California Teacher Credential from UCR. He worked in the Alvord Unified School District for more than 20 years as a popular teacher and administrator. Gary is survived by wife of 42 years, Verena; son Ian; daughter Lindsay; grand-daughters Rhiannon and Laci; brothers James and Robert; friends, and former "Brothers in Arms,"; and several pets, including his favorite dog, Tatiana. He will be interred at the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA, date to be announced in Sept.
