GAYLOR WILSON SINGLETARY In loving memory of Gaylor Wilson (GW) Singletary, born June 11, 1924 in Riverside, Ca. He passed away peacefully on April 5, 2015 at his home in Riverside. A native Riversider, he was 90 years old. GW graduated from Poly High School in 1942 and attended Riverside City College. He served in World War II. After the war he started his own heavy equipment sales business and in his later years he became a commercial land developer, developing well over 500 acres throughout the Inland Empire. He worked right up to the end of 2014. GW devoted his whole life to helping others and was loved by all who knew him. Among his accomplishments were the formation of the Military Affairs Committee through the Riverside Chamber of Commerce where he conceived and planned the annual picnic for military men and women and their families. He also was instrumental in the construction of the Ab Brown soccer fields. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Roberts Singletary; his two daughters Linda Heaslet and Gaylene Taylor (husband John); four step children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Thurs., 4/9/15, at 12:30PM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the .
