GLEE LEWIS REMBOLT JULY 16, 1924 - APRIL 25, 2016 Glee Lewis Rembolt, 91, of Murrieta, CA, passed away April 25, 2016 in San Diego, CA in the company of her children. She was born on a farm near Arborville, Nebraska to Ray & Lilac (Rystrom) Lewis July 16, 1924. The family later moved to Grand Island, Nebraska. In 1941, she graduated from Grand Island High School. After attending Kearney State Teacher's college, she taught in Burwell, Cozad, and Sidney, Nebraska. On October 5, 1946, Glee married the love of her life, Marion Rembolt, also of Grand Island in Bremerton, WA. Glee returned to teaching while Marion finished his tour of duty in the South Pacific. After he completed his tour of duty, they made their home in Aurora, NE where both of their children were born. In 1957 they moved to Colton, CA where Marion was the Service Manager of L. J. Snow Ford and they raised their family. During their time in Colton, they were active in the Evangelical United Brethren Church of San Bernardino which later became the United Methodist Church. Glee and Marion lived their lives serving others. During the time in Colton, Glee regularly taught Sunday school classes, led youth groups and provided guidance to both Girl and Cub Scout troops. After Marion retired in 1986, he and Glee joined the Mobile Missionary Assistance Program doing volunteer service to build and repair churches and youth camps throughout the U.S. In addition to the 25 projects for MMAP they also worked on building projects with Youth With A Mission in Hawaii. In 1990, they moved to Murrieta, CA where Glee and Marion continued their life of service. They joined the Gateway Church of the Nazarene and Glee started a ladies Bible Study which she continued to lead well after her 90th birthday. Glee was a woman of letters and both enjoyed and wrote poetry, she also enjoyed knitting hats, slippers and blankets for family, friends and those in need. She grew up in a loving family and made sure to pass that on to her own children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. Glee was preceded in death by her husband Marion, September 18, 1994 and her brother Dwaine Lewis, April 1, 2016. Glee is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jay and Tammy Rembolt of San Diego, CA; her daughter and son-in-law Maralee and Clint Blain also of San Diego, CA; her grandson Alex and twin granddaughters Caroline and Sarah Rembolt of San Diego, CA; her brother Don (June) Lewis of Bloomington, IN; her sisters L. Leone Sommerfeld of Hastings, NE and Addie (Al) Lybarger of Murrieta, CA; her sister-in-law Evelyn Lewis of Murrieta, CA; her many nieces and nephews, her special ladies in the Bible Study, her church family, and a host of friends. A celebration of Glee's life will be held May 14, 2016 at 11am in the Gateway Church of the Nazarene on Jefferson Street, in the city of Murrietta, CA. The family asks that in lieu of flowers make any remembrance gifts to the Gateway Church of the Nazarene-Glee Rembolt Memorial Fund or a .
