HAROLD KENNETH EDWARDS, known as Ed, was born July 18, 1922 in Manhattan, New York, to Edith (Dash) and Cleveland Edwards from Barbados. Raised in Brooklyn, he served in the field artillery during World War II then worked as an electrical contractor in the Orange County, California area before retiring to Hemet where he lived the past 27 years. He loved playing cards and golf, traveling, and coaching Little League baseball, especially his sons' teams. Above all, he valued time with his extended family. Ed is survived by his wife, Mary Louise, the love of his life for 72 years; sons, Richard (Sonia), Dennis (Molly), Gary, and Douglas (Lynn); sister, Grace Hawkins; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Kenneth; granddaughter, Rebecca; brothers, Kyle and Robert Edwards; sisters, Dorothy Chandler and Thelma Bloomfield. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 28, at 10 a.m. at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet. Memorial donations may be made to Little League Baseball, , or the .
