Harvey Chesser Obituary
HARVEY CHESSER, age 94, passed away on June 21, 2014 with his wife Helen and son David by his side. He was born to the late Harvey Clark and Blanch Chesser of Albany, Ohio. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Clovis, LaVern, and Armour, and his two sisters; Mildred and Donna Mae. A remaining sister, Marylee Chesser Tewksbury lives in Ocala, Florida. Harvey graduated from Albany High School. His first job was with Rauchs Bakery and the Broughtons Dairy Restaurant in Athens, Ohio. Later he was hired by the Royal McBee Printing Co. to train the Order Control Dept. He met and married his wife, Helen Lambert Chesser; and adopted their first child, James. Three years later he served 2 years in the Navy. He was discharged and was transferred to the New McBee Printing Company, Ogden Utah as the Supervisor in their Order Control Dept. Later he was hired by the Burroughs Corp Printing Company. He worked for Burroughs until he retired. He and his wife then started a home business raising Developmentally Disabled Children that lasted over twenty years and finally retired to enjoy his remaining Golden Years in Moreno Valley, California. He was laid to rest at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside, California. He will be dearly missed by all. Please visit www.piercebroscrestlawn.com to offer condolences.
