HAZEN ANTHONY "TONY" STUDOR II Age 80, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 in Yucaipa, CA. Tony was born August 18, 1933 in Bridgeport, Michigan to Hazen & Eva Studor. He graduated from Banning High School, class of 1953 and had joined the United States Army and served from 1953 - 1955 during the Korean War. Tony had lived in Banning, CA for the past 66 years and he was employed in various jobs in the area including the welding shop at Rohr Industries in Riverside and as a tire recapper for several different tire shops, but he loved gardening and yard work which he continued with until very recently. Tony was an accomplished saxophone player and bass vocalist and had performed in Europe and locally. He was a long time member of the Desert Edge VFW Post 233, Pass Chorale and LifePoint Church member. Tony was recently recognized on January 10, 2014 by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors with an award for his "Buddy Poppy" activities with the VFW. Tony is preceded in death by his wife Darlene in 2004 and brother, Douglas Studor. He is survived by his step daughter, Vickie (Roy) Nakamura of Poway, CA; step sons, Ben Anderson of Corona, CA, Frank Anderson of Kirkland, WA, Tom (Becky) Anderson of Mesa, AZ, Scott (Karen) Anderson of Orange County, CA; brother, Edwin (Julie) Studor of Beaumont, CA; sisters, Muriel (Richard) Davis of Banning, CA and Ellen (James) Probestel of Indio, CA. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, 2/20/2014 at 1pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm, both at the LifePoint Church, 565 N. San Gorgonio Ave., Banning, CA. Interment will take place on Friday, 2/21/2014 at 11:30 pm at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, staging area #8. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gideons International at www.gideons.org or to the Pass Chorale at PO Box 589, Beaumont, CA 92223.
