HENRY DEE BLANCO JR. 1932-2016 Henry Dee Blanco, Jr. passed away on November 28, 2016 at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California. He was born in Coleman, Texas on February 19, 1932 to parents Henry Dee Blanco, Sr. and Eva Vield Blanco. He grew up and attended schools in Rosewell, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Maxine Blanco Latimore. Mr.Blanco was employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs as a teacher on a Navajo Indian reservation in Arizona before transferring to Sherman Indian High School in Riverside. Later, he became a teacher in the Riverside Unified School District where he worked for 53 years and retired as a manager in Child Welfare and Attendance. He retired in 1992 . He was a military veteran in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1955. In 1956, Henry received his master of arts degree in education from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In memory of Henry Blanco, Jr., donations can be made to the United Negro College Fund,Incorporated, 3699 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 675, Los Angeles,CA 90010. Graveside services will be at the Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area #4 on December 14, 2016 at 9:45 A.M.
