I didn’t know Henry but I knew his son Mike years ago. Sorry for your loss. He sounds like he lived a very exciting life.

Henry was a very nice man. Him and my father were close friends he once gave me a pair of his goggles which I still have and he gave my father a picture of his very first winner at P town. I have an article about him and newspaper clippings my dad had. I keep his photos on my wall along with my other racing photos. A great guy

My dad was a great father in so many ways. The respect and trust he gave me as a child still amazes me. Boats, cars, flying lessons, he always told me I could do it from the time I was 12. And I did because I beleived him. I guess because he had faith and trust in me, I beleived in myself, and maybe that's the greatest gift a father can give. God bless him.

My father and Hank were boyhood friends. I have many fond memories of summers spent with Hank and his family at Lake Wauconda, Illinois, when Hank was racing at Arlington outside of Chicago. My most heartfelt sympathies. My father died in July, 2006.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the kind words.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. His legend will live on, with all the fun and exciting stories through his son, my dad, Michael.

My late Husband, Donald Mart, and I had a double wedding with Henry & Barbara Moreno on June 11, 1950 in Lake Tahoe, Ca. I want to extend my deepest sympathy to his ex-wife Barbara and his children Michael and Victoria. We didn't see each other for many years before his death and I am now remarried for 30 years to another fine gentleman. I have never met his wife June but she is in my thoughts as well. Hank was a great jockey, a good friend, so funny and full of life. Farewell Hank!

I am greatly saddened by the passing of Mr. Moreno. Though I never met Mr. Moreno personally, I talked to him via email many times about his career and his many rides for Calumet Farm. I offer the family of Mr. Moreno my condolences. He was a super person to talk to. Sincerely, Alan Storter
