Howard W. "Bill" Kell Obituary
HOWARD W. "BILL" KELL On October 21, 2012 Howard W. "Bill" Kell died after a long battle with cancer. He died peacefully in his sleep. Bill was born 5/4/1921 in Steubenville, Ohio. Graduated high school in 1939 where he met his future wife Barbara. They married 5/10/1941. Bill enlisted in the Army Air Corp. in 1942, became a bombardier & flew 29 missions over France & Germany. He was the lead bombardier, rose to the rank of 1st Lt. & was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was offered the rank of Capt. if he would fly in the pacific. He chose to go home to Barbara & the little boy he had never seen. He joined Coca Cola on 7/11/1947. In his 36 years of employment he rose to the position of Sr. V.P. of Coca-Cola & then took over the reins at Arrowhead Water as the president of the company. He retired in 1982 & relocated to Hemet. His final decades were spent playing tennis, biking 5 miles daily & gardening. Bill was a loving man who will be remembered fondly by many. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Barbara Ann. He is survived by 3 sons, many grand-children & great grandchildren. Family & friends will gather together in the near future to honor & celebrate his life.
