Irene Eloise Guerrero Obituary
IRENE ELOISE GUERRERO (YEZ DAA DESCHENE) Passed away peacefully at home with her caring family at her bedside on January 29, 2013 at 7pm. Irene was born June 14, 1927 in Dennehotso, Arizona and was part of the Red Cliff and Red House Clan. Irene moved to Riverside and met her husband Raymond Guerrero on February 18, 1953. On August 17, 1953 they were wed. Irene (Yez Daa) was a very caring and loving person. She was employed by Sherman Indian High School where she worked for 34 years before retiring. Years later Yez Daa worked for RUSD for 10 years and loved spending her free time as a devoted fan watching and listening to the Los Angeles Laker games, tending to her flowers and harvesting her beautiful garden. She was a member of the Mormon Church where she served as a Mexican missionary for 2 years in Mexico and Guatemala. She enjoyed devoting her time to help students and children. She is survived by her husband Raymond Guerrero; daughter Becky Kvist; son Michael Guerrero; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews from Riverside and Dennehotso, AZ. Our mother touched everyone she knew, especially all of her family. She was the shining light in our lives and is dearly loved by her family and friends. Irene was our Angel on Earth and is now a beautiful Angel in Heaven. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives. We will miss her greatly. Viewing will be held at The Church of Christ-Latter Day Saints, 4375 Jackson St., Riverside, CA 92503 on February 12, 2013 at 9am followed by funeral services at 10am. Graveside service will take place at 12:15pm in Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
