Isabell "Babe" Robinson Obituary
ISABELL "BABE" ROBINSON Age 81, died in San Jacinto, California on October 5, 2013. Born July 14, 1932 in Dickinson, North Dakota Isabell was the youngest of Harry and Katherine Godes Sherbesman's five children. Affectionately referred to as 'Babe', Isabell lived the early part of her life on a farm near Hebron, North Dakota. Her family later moved to Washington where she attended the old Brownsville Elementary School and Silverdale High before graduating from Bremerton High School in 1950. On May 11, 1969, she married Derwood 'Robbie' Robinson in California. A resident of Southern California since the early 1950's, Isabell worked at several different car dealerships and, with her husband, owned Babe's Auto Sales in Garden Grove. Isabell loved boating with her husband and would spend many weekends tied up to a buoy at Catalina Island. She loved all animals and was a devoted pet owner. Being an independent, strong-minded woman, Isabell held knowledgeable opinions on politics and football. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining and in her spare time could be found in the kitchen or hosting dinner parties when not knitting while watching sports on TV. Most notably, Isabell adored her antique clock collection and took pride in keeping them running. She loved her nieces and nephews and would go out of her way to help them in their time of need. She will be missed. Survivors include her oldest sister, Marie (Walter 'Bud') Schave of Anchorage, Alaska as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii and Washington. Isabell was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie; her parents, Harry and Katherine; her brother, Englebert (Dona) Sherbesman; and sisters Esther Sherbersman and Mildred (Carter) Wright. A special thank you goes out to her friends and neighbors in the Country Lake Mobile Home Community for their help and support.
