Jacquelyn Cannon Bonnett Obituary
JACQUELYN CANNON BONNETT Jackie passed away at home on Sept. 20, 2013. She was born on the island of Kauai on January 20,1926 and lived on Maui as a child. During WWII she was sent to live with relatives in Riverside where she graduated from Poly High School. Three years later she graduated from Stanford University, Magna Cum Laude. She went on a blind date with William H. Bonnett, Jr. (Bill) in December of 1945 and they were married six months later after graduation. Jackie enjoyed reading novels, gardening, swimming, playing bridge, and traveling. She was active in the Junior League of Riverside, serving on various committees and as a past president. She was predeceased by her brother Wilson P. Cannon. She is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, William Bonnett, Jr. She leaves behind three sons in Riverside: William H. Bonnett, III (Judi), Mark Bonnett, (Karlene), and Robert Bonnett (Lesly). She also leaves behind nephews, nieces, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Since most of her descendents are male, Jackie was ecstatic when, finally, a great-granddaughter arrived this past year. A casual celebration of her life is being planned.
