James Anton "jim" Stribrny Obituary
JAMES (JIM) ANTON STRIBRNY James Stribrny of Landers, CA, passed away May 26, 2013. He was born in Prague, Czech Republic on February 5, 1931. Being a survivor of the Holocaust, Jim lived life to the fullest. He became an American citizen and was a veteran of the Korean War. Jim was an electronic technician at Kaiser Steel and California Steel for 52 years. He loved to build windmills, and after moving to the desert, created a home primarily sustained by the wind and the sun. His wonderful sense of humor, and his love for his family, and all of God's creatures will be missed. He is survived by his wife and best friend Anna Jane; son Lance Stribrny; stepchildren Daniel and Suzanne McMillin, Randel McMillin, Kenneth and Michele Lewallen; grandchildren Stephen Stribrny and Sara Wright; step-grandchildren Kristopher McMillin, Jayme McMillin, Jason Graham, Micheal Graham, Jacob Lewallen and Justyne Lewallen, and many great-grandchildren. He is survived by a niece in Czech Republic and a great niece and her children in Italy. A veteran's honors ceremony for Jim will be held on Thursday, June 13, at 2:30 p.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd.
