James Edward McQueen Obituary
JAMES EDWARD MCQUEEN, 83, passed away on July 18, 2014 at Kaiser Hospital in Riverside, CA. He was born on April 25, 1931 in Charleston, South Carolina and had lived in Riverside, CA for 50 yrs. He graduated high school in Charleston, SC; and graduated from Riverside City College with an A.A. Degree/Finance. He served in the U.S. Air Force, 20 yrs, Master Sargeant and received a Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service in 9/60 and from 9/61-9/65. He worked for Security Pacific Bank for 20 years. He was President of the Riverside Host Lions Club, member of Grace United Methodist Church for 50+ years; Kaiser Permanente Hospital Volunteer for 18 years; Finance Secretary for Grace United Methodist Church for 40 years; President - Board of Directors of the Community Settlement Association. James is survived by his wife Imogene McQueen of Riverside, CA; daughters Juliet Evans (Tommy) of Rialto, CA, Linda Sykora of Riverside, CA, and Marion Cronin of Riverside, CA; sons Jerome McQueen (Arleta) of Fort Washington, MD; and David Ainslie of Azle, Texas; sisters Justine Rachel McQueen and Louise Thompson, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother John Richard McQueen (Kathy) of Charleston, SC; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Keith McQueen and his parents. Visitation: Monday, July 28, 2014 from 4-8pm at Arlington Mortuary in Riverside, CA; Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 29, 10am at Grace United Methodist Church, 1085 Linden Street, Riverside, CA with burial at Riverside National Cemetery.
