JAMES (JIM) WALTER ALLISON, JR. On Friday, May 27, 2016, James (Jim) Walter Allison, Jr. of Lake Elsinore, California, passed away at home on Hospice care, after a long illness. Jim was born on Sept. 19, 1942, in Kearney, Nebraska, to James Walter Allison and Bernadine (Erwin) Allison. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Phoenix then Yuma, Arizona and then to California where he attended public schools in Ontario. Jim graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario in 1960. In 1963, he began a career in banking with First National Bank and Trust Company in Ontario as a courier, teller and ultimately as an Assistant Trust Officer in the Trust Department. He attended Northwestern University's National Trust School and the University of Washington's Pacific Coast Banking School. He was a member and Internal Vice President of the Ontario Jaycees, where he was honored with the President's Award, the 1st District Spokesman Award and Key Man of The Year. Jim also served with the Ontario PTA in 1966. At that time he was also involved with the United Fund Crusade as a Solicitation Member and the American Institute of Banking. As a result of his civic involvement, Jim was named one of the Outstanding Young Men of America in 1972 for his achievements and contributions to his community and profession, helping to shape the future of our nation. Jim was a member of the Lake Elsinore/Wildomar Elk's Chapter #2591. In 1980 he moved with his family to Claremore, OK where he worked as a Trust Officer with Citizen's Security Bank & Trust in Bixby, OK. He continued his career in banking in Bixby, achieving the title of Executive Vice President, Cashier and CFO. Jim retired from banking in 2004, and loved living in the country, enjoying nature on the surrounding acreage, exploring and blazing trails. In 2009 he and his wife moved to Lake Elsinore CA. Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Lynne Tripp of East Lansing, MI. He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Allison, of Lake Elsinore, CA; five children: Michele Allison Kraft of Tulsa, OK; James Allison (Charlotte) of Claremore, OK; Shane Michael Allison of Owasso, OK; Ruben DeLaVega (Toni) of Orange, CA; and Laurel Anne Fowler (Scott) of Altadena, CA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren in Oklahoma and California, as well as three great-grandsons in Oklahoma, and his sister Pat Webb (Bob Spanjer) of Wenatchee, WA, together with four nieces and two nephews. Arrangements are pending for memorial services. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arbor Hospice & Hemet Hospice Volunteers in his name, 890 W. Stetson Avenue, Suite A, Hemet, CA 92543.
