JANET LYNNE WILSON FUNDERBURK, born on August 19, 1948 in Riverside, CA, joined our Lord in heaven on June 8, 2015 from home. Janet passed due to cancer. She is survived by her husband Henry E. Funderburk and brother Stuart M. Wilson. Janet's parents were Herbert M. Wilson and Mary E. Wilson, long- time Riverside residents. A graduate of Ramona High School, class of 1966; she received her BA from CSULB in 1970. Janet and Henry were married on June 5, 1983. Her 33-year career with the Red Cross took her to Vietnam (1970-71), Bosnia for 2 tours, Germany for 8 years, and 23 years in the United States. She belonged to the First Congregational Church, American Association of University Women (AAUW), Riverside Dickens Festival (president 2 years), and Steppin' On Up, Inc. (co-founder). She and Henry directed the Victorian Tea & Music Hall for 7 years during the Dickens Festival. She helped many organizations with fundraisers and events. Janet was loved and respected by many. She enjoyed walking Mt. Rubidoux, reading, art, music, card games, old movies, plays, musicals and theatre. Especially fond of animals, her beloved Skye terrier, Mac (McLeod), dearly misses her. Friends will gather to celebrate her life at the First Congregational Church, 3504 Mission Inn Avenue on Saturday, July 25 at 4 P.M. followed by a reception in lower level. Costumes and funny hats are encouraged in different styles: Hawaiian, Victorian, Steam Punk, or Halloween. Let's make her smile.
