Janine Montalbano Collins Obituary
JANINE MONTALBANO COLLINS Janine Montalbano Collins of Temecula, California was granted her Angel wings and returned to Heaven on July 12, 2016. She was a loving daughter to Salvatore and Gloria Montalbano, a step daughter to Lyle Harrington, a sister to Carol and Roger and a mother to her daughter Deidre. She also leaves behind her adored Maltese puppies, Gigi and Marcello. Janine was known for having a plan. She always worked hard and received the California State scholarship to attend UC Berkeley. She graduated with a Teaching Credential in English as well as Bachelors in the Arts and Humanities. She also earned the Delta Kappa Gamma Teaching Award. Later she continued her education and studied Computer Science at Saddleback College. Janine's background and education led to her very successful career. She found the perfect combination to educate students and inspire young minds with the latest technology to give all children the opportunity to make their dreams become their reality. Her passion and love to teach started her path in sales and to her final position of Vice President, her proudest earned title. She sold Curriculum Software systems to school districts. Janine believed in making a difference. She was always active in her church and also worked with Jimmy Carter building houses for Habitat for Humanity. More recently she loved being part of the Temecula Valley Women's Club where she found some of the best friendships and support and for that we are most grateful. Janine was always joyful and loved to sing and dance. She entertained us by singing songs ranging from Christmas Carols to classic rock and for me I will miss this part of her magic daily. What a lady, what style and what class she had. Let's remember her spirit her warmth and her belief that all you need is LOVE. She was a miracle of light. We will celebrate her life on September 10th at 11am at St. Thomas of Canterbury Episcopal Church 44651 Avenida de Missiones, Temecula CA. 92592. Some women are wearing a fascinator in their hair in her memory. In lieu of flowers you may pay a tribute in her name with The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org Or the Elizabeth Hospice at elizabethhospice.org Or donate kindly to her church.
