Jean passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born in New Lexington, Ohio to parents Merrill Christopher Risher and Ella Mae Patton. She was one of 7 children: Sarah Jewell Elizabeth Risher, Tex Merrill Risher, Joan Risher, Janice Helen Risher, Rex Ray Risher, June Ella Risher. She was raised and attended school in Borger Texas. Secretary for local Texas Oil Company.
Jean Risher married 2nd Lt. Arthur Gerald Morris, an Elsinore native on September 16, 1945 at the close of WWII. They were married at the Polk Street Methodist Church, Amarillo Texas where he was stationed. They immediately moved to Art's (AG) hometown of Elsinore, California where he was born in 1919. They raised commercial walnuts and managed walnut and citrus groves for others. They also had an underground construction business and real estate interests in Elsinore. AG and Jean were married for 40 years until his passing in 1985.
They had 4 children: Charles Morris, deceased, Jodie Morris Small, deceased, Gary Morris and Stanley Morris, deceased. Jean Louise Risher Morris leaves behind: her sister June and many nieces and nephews on the Risher side; her son Gary and his wife Elena DiMaggio; their two boys: Clayton and Jacob Morris; her daughter Jodie Morris Small's two children: granddaughters, Jessica Small Endresen and her husband Josh Endresen; great granddaughter Jillienne Endresen; granddaughter Janine Small Williams and her two children, great grandchildren Blake and Juliana Williams.
Jean was a Master Gardener and Florist. She grew and sold her flowers. Jean always tried her best to eat healthy and exercise. In later years she enjoyed traveling, going to the Lake Elsinore Senior Center, exercising and meeting with friends. In early years, she and her husband and children were longtime members of the Lake Elsinore Baptist Church on Grand Avenue. After her husband's passing Jean attended the Lakeside Baptist Church for many years. She will be greatly missed. Memorial Service will be incorporated into Sunday church service, Lakeside Baptist Church, 911 W. Graham Ave., Lake Elsinore, CA 92530 on Sunday, October 22 at 10am.
