JEFFREY "JEFF" WILLIAMS Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away from cancer at his home in Redlands on October 15th. Born August 7th, 1943 to Earl and Jean Williams in Long Beach, CA. Jeff moved to Redlands at age 4, attended McKinley Elem., Redlands Jr. High, Cope Jr. High (where he met Marilyn in 9th grade Latin), graduated from Redlands High in 1961. He was on the tennis team all 3 yrs. In 1961 they won CBL & CIF. Jeff was installed Master Councilor for Redlands Chapter of DeMolay in 1961. He married his sweetheart, Marilyn Johnson July 21, 1962, this past July celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a wonderful party at their home. Jeff graduated from CSUSB in 1968 and went to work for IBM Corp. in Riverside. In 1979, he went to work for SM Systems, Inc. and bought the company in 1983. He taught advertising and marketing night classes at RCC for many years, was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying his plane. Jeff loved taking his friends and family on his cabin cruiser and participating in the Newport Beach Christmas Boat parade for many years. Member of the Optimist Club of Redlands, First Congregational Church, where he had ushered and played on the church softball team. Jeff was a charter member of Riverside East Rotary Club, President in 1989-90. Elected Gov. of Rotary Dist. #5330 in 2002-03, was extremely active and dedicated to Rotary. Traveled throughout the US and World with family and friends. Many weeks each year spent at his condo in Palm Desert playing tennis, member of Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside over 35 yrs and played his favorite sport, tennis, till the day before he was hospitalized. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jeff is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; son Tim Williams (Lynn); daughter Christy Salazar (John); grandchildren Sarah, Aaron & Emily Williams, Jeremy & Jennifer Salazar, all of Redlands; brothers Bob Williams (Maureen) of Salinas, CA, John Williams (Sonya) of New Bern, NC; sister-in-law Charlotte Keel (Bill); brother-in-law Walt Johnson (Janet), all of Redlands, and extended family. Memorial service is November 3, 11:00 am, First Congregational Church of Redlands, 2 W. Olive Ave. Private interment.
