Joe Vaccarino Obituary
JOE VACCARINO Joe Anthony Vaccarino, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his home in Hemet, CA at the age of 88. He was born on February 2, 1927 to Antonio and Maria Vaccarino in St. Louis, MO where he met his future bride, Mary Therese Kutz. Joe and Mary were married on June 18, 1949 after his return from serving in the United States Army. They were married for nearly 66 years and had nine children together. In 1953, the family moved to Garden Grove, CA where Joe worked at Northrop Corporation as an optical technician. He then made a decision for the family to relocate to Hemet and pursue his passion for Italian cuisine. He and the family owned and operated The Pride of Italy Italian Restaurant for many more years. Joe was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching baseball, listening to Italian opera music, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering support, and unconditional love. Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Vaccarino; daughter Linda (Ken) Wilson; son Anthony Vaccarino; daughter, Mari Lee (John Purchase); daughter, Laure Parker; son, Joseph (Amy) Vaccarino; daughter, Kathleen Beatty; son, Ronald Vaccarino; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his many extended relatives. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Vaccarino; and his sons, Michael and Donald Vaccarino. Services will be held at Hemet Valley Mortuary on Sunday, February 8th. Viewing will begin at 1pm, service at 4pm with reception to follow.
