John R. Gilbreath Obituary
JOHN R. GILBREATH, beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on December 19, 2015. John was a lifelong resident of the Inland Empire. Raised in Riverside, CA, he followed in his father's footsteps and became a truck driver as soon as he was of age to do so. He then served in the U.S. Army as a truck driver in Germany during the Vietnam War. Afterward, he followed in his mother's footsteps and became a real estate broker. He graduated from CSUSB and was a CPA, first serving in public accounting and then working as a CFO for a local citrus packing house. Since his early childhood, John was an avid fisherman. His fishing took him all around the world and fostered dear friendships. Anybody who knew him recognized his extraordinary mind and heart of gold. He will live on in our hearts forever. John was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Lucille Gilbreath; his sister, Lynn Links; and a step-son, Clark Pedersen. Survivors include: a sister, Leah Gonzalez of Coursegold, CA; a daughter, Samantha King of Highland, CA; step children, Eric Pedersen and Jessie Stevenson; and several grandchildren. The family will hold private memorial services and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to .
