JOHN RICHARD BICE John Richard Bice passed away on March 25, 2013 from kidney failure at his home surrounded by family and friends. John was born in Upland, California April 18, 1923 to John Lincoln and Evelyn Mae Bice. He was the oldest of four children. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war he attended Chaffey College in Alta Loma where he met Jean Gregory. They were married 49 years until her death in 1997. He earned his degree at University of California Santa Barbara and worked as a chemist at Sunkist Lemon Exchange in Corona. Later, John worked for Brogdex Company in Pomona. Throughout his career he traveled extensively and formed many lifelong friendships on five continents. As a member of the Corona United Methodist Church John was proudest of being Scoutmaster for the church affiliated Boy Scout Troop 34 for 58 years. John is survived by his sister Patti Rogers of San Diego; five children Greg & (Mary) Bice, Karin & (Joe) Lisardo and Doug Bice, all of Corona, Judy & (Don) Konrad of Columbus NE, Kelly & (Diana) Bice of Murrieta, CA; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at Corona United Methodist Church, 2880 California Ave., Corona, CA 92881 on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 12:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Corona United Methodist Church Scout House.
