Joseph was born in Denver in 1934. He was the eldest child of Clara and Joseph Berger.

He enjoyed travel to Europe, New Zealand, and Tahiti. Later he retired to Sun City, CA , where he continued his love of flying by flying gliders in a local soaring club. He was interested in many subjects, including science and world events. Joseph was a person of considerable mechanical ability, intelligence, and sharp wit. He will be missed by his family and friends.
