Obituary Condolences

JOSEPH P.E. PLANTE Joseph passed away on 1/8/13. By his side was his wife Barbara of 61 loving years and daughter Katherine Goffman. He is also survived by a son Joe Plante and daughter Susan Copeland. He has 6 wonderful grandchildren, Heather, Taressa, Daniel, Crystal, Shona and Amanda. His greatest treasures are his 3 great grandchildren Kaiden, Keaden and Isabella. He went into the Air Force at a young age, stationed out at March where he met his wife Barbara. He spent 20 years of loyal service in the Air Force and retired in 1968. He then went to work for the Moreno Valley School District as a maintenance worker and retired 20 years later. He was a man who gave so much of himself, always ready to lend a hand. He liked working in the yard pulling weeds or just putzing around. He love to play golf and hang out with his buddies. He was active in the Lions Club, Elks and VFW for many years. He was a man of many talents but a master of none. Joe, or Ed, as some of you may have known him was very passionate about an organization called "Bill's Special Kids". He just loved spending time with the kids, either watching them play basketball or helping them with bowling. On Saturdays he would walk down to the bowling alley to help out giving the kids encouragement. In lieu of flowers, we would like it if you would make a donation to the "Bill's Special Kids" organization on his behalf: Bill Yearsley & Pat Losner, 25392 Jaclyn Ave., Moreno Valley, CA 92557, 951-252-7261. Services will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery on Van Buren Ave., on Wed., 1/16/13 at 10:46 am, Staging Area #4.
