JOSEPH THOMAS STRANIERI CORONA, CA - Joseph Thomas Stranieri, age 52, passed away on June 4, 2013, after a long fight with COPD. Born in Akron, OH, on June 11, 1960, Joe was the son of Thomas V. Stranieri and Florence M. Lepley Stranieri. He graduated from the University of Akron with a BS in Bus. Admin. ('84) & Stow-Munroe Falls High School ('78). Joe was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was employed by Yellow Freight & Roach-Reid before leaving OH for the beautiful weather and exciting new opportunities in CA. He worked for Myers Tire Supply before starting his own successful business of 19 years, Inland Empire Tire Supply. Joe enjoyed spending time with family & friends. He liked the outdoors, especially boating & golf. His pastimes were watching football & baseball; playing pool & poker. Friends could count on him to be the life of the party. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold when someone was in need. He will be missed. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Ann & Bruce Rowland of Akron, Ohio; ex-wife, Allanah Courson; numerous relatives and friends who encouraged and helped him. He also leaves his beloved pets, JoJo & Lucy. Friends are invited to the home of Allanah Courson, 2915 Via Milano, Unit 104, Corona 92879, on Sunday, June 16 from 1-5 pm for an open house celebrating Joe's life.
