Judith Elaine (German) Russell Obituary
JUDITH ELAINE (GERMAN) RUSSELL passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 after a long hard five year fight against ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by many family members and loved ones when the good Lord called her to come home. Judi, born June 18, 1941 at Loma Linda Hospital, was a lifelong resident of Southern California. Judi and her family lived in the community of Amberhill, just north of Lake Elsinore, then moved to Corona where she was joined by many family members including a new baby sister Margaret (Peg) German and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Judi met her loving husband of 52 years, Raymond Russell, while attending Corona High School. They married August 3, 1963 and Judi and Ray decided to raise their family in the same little town full of love and family. Judi is survived by her eldest son Daniel Russell; her loving daughter Nicole (Russell) Clesceri; and her youngest son Shaun Russell, along with their spouses Kathleen, Dominic, and Karen. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Devon, Curtis, Thomas, Juliette, Liam, Kelly, and Conor. Her little sister and brother-in-law Peg German and Robert, and her sister-in-law, Judi Duggar, and brother-in-law Craig were all there for her no matter what she needed. She was also lucky to see the birth of her great granddaughter Clementine. As Co-Founder and Vice President of Phenix Technology, Inc., Judi helped provide safety for literally hundreds of thousands of firefighters worldwide. A philanthropist in her own right, she was also part of many charitable and community service organizations from Navy league, PTA, Circle of Hope, Republican Party, The Elks, and many others. Raised in the Catholic Church, her dedication to her fellow man will be felt for years to come. Judi was blessed with a life that she loved and is now free from pain. Judi was preceded in life by her father Lawrence German, her mother Wilma (Lucas) German and her granddaughter Kaitlin. The family is hosting a Celebration of Life at the Corona Elks Lodge on Saturday, February 6th. This "open house" reception from 12:30pm to 3:30pm will be an opportunity to meet the family, share your favorite memories, and "raise a glass" to toast one of Corona's sweethearts. "Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His Hand"
