Julie died peacefully at her home with her children by her side on September 11, 2017 in Lake Mathews, CA at the age of 78.
Julie is survived by her 3 children: daughters Jodi Montano and Susan Turpin, both of Lake Mathews, CA and son Ryan Horner of Riverside, CA. Three grandchildren Ryan Kazsuk of Riverside, CA, Shana Kazsuk of Corona, CA, and Soren Horner of Riverside, CA; four great-grandchildren Kainoa, Grace, David, and JiSeon Kazsuk all of Riverside, CA. Julie was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Horner of Riverside, CA.
Julie was born on 7/26/1939 in Freeport, IL to Harry and Aurelia Nadig. She graduated from La Sierra Academy in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart/an accountant and entrepreneur in 1959. She later earned an Associate's Degree in Home Economics. Julie worked mostly as a secretary for several companies over the years and later co-owned Aurelia's Assisted Living for the Elderly. In retirement she started a new business, Julie's Hookbills, raising exotic birds.
A memorial is scheduled for September 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church, 8778 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, CA 92503, with reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Julie's life. Condolences may be sent to 20494 Lakeridge Drive, Lake Mathews, CA 92570.
