Kirk Dean Eagler Obituary
KIRK DEAN EAGLER Kirk was born in San Diego, California, on May 3, 1962 to proud parents, Lou Eagler and Shirley (Wilson) Eagler, and was the only sibling to LuDell (Eagler) Parrett. He attended La Sierra Elementary School from 1st grade on, and La Sierra Academy for most of high school, and graduated Norte Vista High in 1980. He was an excellent athlete, excelling in football, baseball, basketball, and tennis. Kirk went to college and soon settled on his career as a counselor for troubled or abused youth. He was well respected and loved by the kids he worked with and brought balance & joy to many over the years. He enjoyed a good game of chess; loved animals, camping, sports, family activities, and traveling vacations with his Dad. Kirk had a sense of humor that could not be topped and was constantly witty bringing fun and laughter to all. He enjoyed the ocean, and lived in Seal Beach for a few years, but spent most of his life in the Riverside area. In 2002 he married the love of his life, Rehana Sultana, and took over the father role for her children, Sam and Monica Huda. They enjoyed a few good years together before Kirk's health was seriously challenged when he almost died in 2004. Kirk bravely and selflessly endured 9 years of dialysis, and the effects of an aortic aneurysm. Kirk claimed each day as a gift from God, and knew that his life could end at any moment. He shared many times that his mother's battle with cancer, and her strength to endure physical difficulties, helped him to cling to God and walk his difficult path. He never complained, but instead he cherished and loved his family, friends and God earnestly, and brought warmth, humor and caring to us all. He died on March 2, 2013 when his aneurysm finally took him from us. He is survived by his wife, Rehana Eagler and step children Sam and Monica, of Riverside, CA; his father and step mother, Lou and Lerma Eagler of Riverside, CA.; his mother and step father Shirley and Mike Katz of Yucaipa, CA.; his sister, LuDell Parrett, married to David Parrett of Salem, OR.; his niece, Chelsea Parrett, of Portland, OR.; and his nephew Matthew Parrett, of Salem, OR. Kirk now rests in wait of the Great Resurrection when we all will get to see him again. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 & 17. All are welcome to celebrate his life with a memorial service on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 3:00 pm at The Corona Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2550 S. Main St., Corona, CA. 92882. (951) 737-5953.
