LAWRENCE "LARRY" MAGNONE Larry passed away at Hemet Valley Medical Center after suffering a lingering illness. Larry was a young 84 years old, born in Niles, Ohio to Frank Magnon and Caroline Mastro who were of Italian decent. Larry was baptized in the Catholic Church as Lorenzo Magnon and as an adult he added an "e" to his last name. The entire family of 7 came to Riverside, CA in the early 1940's. Larry graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School about 1947. Larry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1947 to 1950 with an honorable discharge. He went into business selling and repairing TV's. After moving to Hemet, CA in 1975, he continued his business of selling and providing service for Sylvania TV's under the name L&M. When videos and TV recorders and players were available, Larry opened numerous stores offering video rentals under the name of Larry's Videos. He was very well known in Hemet and the surrounding communities. Larry was warm and friendly to anyone he came in contact with, willingly helping those who needed help. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. Larry retired in 1995 but kept very busy. He loved working and creating various wood projects and was also an avid gardener. Larry is survived by a son, Tony Magnon; daughter, Charla; brother, Ray Magnon; companion and caretaker, Jane Armbruster; and many extended family members and close friends. Graveside Services will be held at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Avenue, Riverside, CA 92506 on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend. Larry will be buried near many of his family members and beside his beloved sister, Rose. Larry touched many lives and will be truly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
