Lawrence Paul (Larry) Anderson Obituary
LAWRENCE (LARRY) PAUL ANDERSON 3/10/1940 - 4/14/2016 Lawrence passed away peacefully after a 6 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Married 6/30/1961 to Julia C. Hunt. He is survived by his wife Julia and children Peggy C. Maneri, David and Stephen. He is predeceased by his brothers Roger C. Anderson and Melvyn E. Anderson. Larry was employed as an elementary school teacher for the Colton Joint Unified School District for 39 years upon retirement in 2000. Larry was first and foremost a family man. The patriarch of the Anderson clan to say the least. His love was unconditional, and his willingness to help others cannot be found often. He served in leadership and lent his wonderful voice to the choir of 3 Lutheran churches as the family relocated over the years. 1st Lutheran Glendale, Lutheran Church of the Cross Rialto, and 1st Lutheran Church of Redlands. Camping, fishing, cruise ships. Always reading a novel or solving Sudoku puzzles. Weekends at the family cabin in Wrightwood. Dad loved so many different activities. Retirement allowed him time to enjoy these past times very well prior to dementia & the onset of Alzheimer's. The family requests that in lieu of flowers you would consider a donation to The Yosemite Conservancy. Our family absolutely loves Yosemite National Park. Dad has been camping and lodging there since childhood and long ago made a request that his remains be scattered at a very specific location within the park.
