Leon Stanley Moses Obituary
LEON STANLEY MOSES Leon Stanley Moses passed away on January 11, 2014; he was 87 years old. He was born in Los Fresnos, Texas on February 23, 1926. He was the second of 6 children and was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Leon and his wife Loeta were married for 48 years and had 4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, with twins currently on the way. After his wife died in 1994, he came to California in September 1996 to visit his brother Robert, and through a mutual friend, he was introduced to Lee Hepler. Lee and Leon became partners in a square dance class that visit. Leon came back to Banning that next January and he and Lee got a little more acquainted. They were married in the gazebo at Unity of Yucaipa on June 21, 1997 and were together for the next 16 1/2 years. They had a big wedding with 250 family and friends in attendance. In 2005, they moved to Salem, Oregon so Lee could be near her two sisters and one brother. They found a lovely church, Unity of Salem, where Leon had a reserved aisle armchair and all the ladies flocked to him every Sunday for hugs. Leon did not mind that at all. In 2012, they decided to move back to California and bought back their original home in Banning Estates. They joined Center for Spiritual Living and Leon, once again, enjoyed all the hugs from the ladies. Memorial Service: Sat., January 18, 2014, 1:00pm at The Center for Spiritual Living, 802 Maple at 8th St., Beaumont, Ca. Interment will be in Van Buren, Arkansas.
