LEONARD EARL HALL, age 49, passed away at home in Banning, CA on 9/27/2014. He was born on 1/14/1965 in Riverside, CA to parents Manuel C. Hall and Catherine M. Calderon Hall. He graduated with an AA degree from Mt. San Jacinto Jr. College and obtained his Counseling Certificate. He worked for the Banning Unified School District (varied) as an Outreach Consultant Intervention Specialist (Spl. Ed Aide) for 28 years and received the Banning Unified School District District-wide Support Person of the Year award (1997-98).He was also CSEA Chapter 147 President, CSEA Chief Negotiator, CSEA Job Steward, CSEA Site Rep. (CA Schools Employee Association). He was a member of the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Community Church in Banning, CA. He also worked and went to University of CA (UC Regents), involved with the Board of UC Regents, worked as a New Student Recruiter in 1983, Library Assistant II, involved in EOP and Healthy Start Program in 1996. Leonard is survived by his sisters Cynthia Scott (Harris) of Banning, CA, Rowena Brunt of Banning, CA and Ysidra Holt of Corona, CA; brothers Jay Scott of Banning, CA and Kenneth Hall of Palm Springs, CA; aunt Angie Sancez from Palm Springs, CA; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by parents Manuel Hall and Catherine Calderon of Banning, CA; brothers Patrick Hall and James Hall, both of Banning, CA and Carl Hall of Palm Springs, CA and sister Margert Hall of Palm Springs, CA. Visitation: Thurs., Oct. 2 , 3pm for family and 4pm for public with Rosary at 7pm, both at Wiefels & Son Mortuary. Funeral Service: Fri, Oct. 3 at 12pm at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Community Church.
