LESLIE E. COPE Les was born June 17, 1932 in Norwich, New York to Ray and Nina Cope. He passed away at his home in Hemet, CA on Monday, January 21, 2013 from cancer. Les requested his body be donated to research. He married Helen Miles on November 22, 1950 in Guilford, New York. The family was very active in Holmesville Baptist Church. In October 1962 the family moved to Fullerton, California. Always active, Les helped to build several churches. He worked as a Ford Parts Manager in three dealerships. He helped build two electrical plants in Burney, Ca. and an ethenol refinery plant in North Dakota. Les touched many lives throughout his life. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and horseshoes. Also playing table games with family and friends. After retirement he enjoyed being a Forestry Lookout host. He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Helen; a daughter, Denise Stuart and a son, David. Also 3 granddaughters, Tammy (Joe) Haygood, Cindy and Becky Stuart; a great grandson, Seth Haygood; and a sister, Alvina White of Norwich, NY. He was pre-deceased by a son, Duane. Private graveside services are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the .
